Scholarships & Financial Aid
The 2025-2026 Ned McWherter Scholars Program application officially opens on January 1, 2025. The application is completed through the TSAC Student Portal. Students applying for the 2024-2025 Ned McWherter Scholars Program will be required to:
Attain a 32 composite ACT score or 1430 SAT score which places them in the top 3% of test takers nationally, and earn a minimum high school GPA, at the end of the semester prior to the semester of graduation, of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale.
The usual deadline for the Ned McWherter Scholars Program application is February 15th of each year.
An application must be accompanied by:
- an official high school transcript that contains the applicant’s high school grades through the first semester of the senior year, and
- an official ACT/SAT score.
