About the Cafeteria
Our crew is dedicated to serving you quality meals as fast as possible! We take food safety seriously and continue training all year to stay up to date on all the changing requirements. Our goal is to provide EVERY student with the nutrition they need to help stay focused in the classroom.
Breakfast: 7:45 until 8:20 AM. $2.00 students. (adults/visitors $2.50). Hot breakfast options offered on a rotating menu. A variety of fruits and juices, cereals and yogurt parfaits also available.
Lunch MEAL Lines: (Schedule attached below) $3.50 students (teachers, adults & visitors $4.25)
Two different hot entrée choices available with two kinds of fruits and two veggies, and an optional milk choice. Chef salads, deli sandwiches and yogurt parfait varieties also offered. We do our best to offer all students the same options, but they are subject to change based on availability. NO STUDENT WILL BE TURNED AWAY.
Express Lanes (a la carte) offer individually priced items from .50 to $2.50 Items like iced coffee, homemade sweet tea, water bottles and Gatorade; Grab and go hot options like popcorn chicken, specialty sandwiches, french fries, fried mozzarella sticks and pretzels with cheese sauce, warm cookies, ice cream, baked chips and healthy snack items. (Express lines will be unavailable if we are short staffed. Meal lines always come first.)
ALL MEAL PLATES must include a fruit or vegetable, otherwise each item will be priced and purchased individually. NO INDIVIDUAL ITEMS CAN BE CHARGED AT ANY TIME. If student has a charge debt, they will NOT be able to purchase individual extra items until charges are paid. (per Rutherford County School board policy)

FREE/REDUCED MEALS: A new Free/Reduced Meal application MUST be filled out EVERY YEAR. Click HERE to watch videos on how to apply. Rutherford county students in the household can be on the same application. Paper applications take a minimum of 10 days to process once turned in to the central office with accurate information. If missing information the application will be sent back home, further delaying your approval. Online is much faster and gives reassurance your application was received. Grace period from previous years’ status ends every September. YOU MUST REAPPLY EVERY YEAR!! You will be responsible for any charges accrued after grace period before the new status takes place and cannot be backdated. Fill out your application as soon as possible!! MEAL PAYMENTS: Parents and Students can download the app “MyPaymentsPlus” to load money to accounts using a credit or debit card. Transferring Rutherford county students will have all funds from their original school roll over. If they are new to Rutherford Co Schools, this may take some time to acquire an ID number. We will always allow a student to receive a meal whether they have an ID or not. We keep track of meals by name and will apply meals to account accordingly once they show up in our system. If you wish to transfer money from Meal to General, please email me or leave a voicemail. STUDENTS CAN NOT REQUEST A TRANSFER WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM PARENT/GUARDIAN.
Please encourage your student to “ask for the manager” if they need assistance or have a concern. We are more than willing to help them at any time and look forward to meeting them!
