VIDEO DISCUSSES CHAPTER 4 SECTION 1 PPT NOTES

first off is what we're going to be doing starting a new chapter chapter 4 don't be talking about the biodiversity now I'm going to go over a couple of things that I've put in your notebook or you two trying to look at and it's going to help you be organized so at home I'm fixing to share my screen again so just listen up I'm going to show you a couple of things now the first thing where to go there it is right there saying I wanted to show you who is in your notebook your class notebook may go back to forth. Here can you class notebook I put a couple of Doc can I help you keep organized and so you'll know what's coming so this goes for all of y'all and it comes up here now if you'll go to your and this is your notebooks though you'll go out to your notebook under the handouts tab with the hand out Tab and you got a couple of things the first one is an agenda I didn't this thing is going to give you the week's agenda everything that we're going to do this week for y'all it's on Tuesday here for 4th. And then again on Thursday right here so when your meeting so it tells you what we're going to be doing all the stuff that I need to do any assignment or what not there that are being given on those days so you can kind of plan it out now the other document is welcome male child hello Washington Google account hey you know what it is tardy is tardy what happen again please the other thing that I've pioneer4you all the assignments that are going to be given and do this week and the first of next week so for instance this week you've got a reading assignment Pages 104 to 110 which is Section 1 and 1:11 to 1:15 with the section 2 we're going over both of those between now and next Monday Section 1 you guys come back in here Thursday after we finished the PowerPoint notes are you going to have a low assessment over this text you once but you need to ever and then we go over the notes it'll be a little more you should be able to do pretty good on that little assessment the other that we're looking at is the chapter 4 vocabulary definitions now there is there a big when you got 31 words in this chat lot of words lot of definition and their words and definitions you need to know the meaning of pretty much all oh it's not like some of those chapters where they give you a lot of just crazy words that you never will use again you're going to use as we go through the through the book pretty much as you're talking about ecosystem so make sure you hang on to these you one done by the end of the week, you need to have them all done to get full credit obviously if they're late you going to lose points being late if you don't turn stuff in but you have a vocab quiz on Monday for you guys just text me one that's only I like seven words and  you want then we'll have section 2 next week Section 3 someone I'm not going to give you your 30 words on the vocab quiz so it's broken down for you now your PowerPoint note you going to go over them on this PowerPoint you guys at home you got the Powerpoint on the song so what was that then you've got the assessment as I said on Thursday says Wednesday but that's a wrote it for the other set of classes 7th and 5th. but you guys will be Thursday the chapter 4 vocabulary quiz as I said God will take it Monday and then the chapter 4 section 2 PowerPoint which will finish probably money provided everything goes the way I planned so but it why you got these things I'm going to try to start doing this so that you got something to counter gauge yourself and keep yourself organized Move Along here case study questions that I want you to try to answer you just get your spacebar talk to me when you when you you have a question or whatever first question want you to write down I just think what are some examples of amphibians if you get lost just look at the red letters up here what what's the mother's salamanders turtles reptiles what's the difference in a toad and a frog are you ready to hand out you got to answer add wart give you warts ugly frog frogs in LA all right the difference and frogs and toads is it frogs live in the water and toads live or terrestrial and live on land right now those are pretty much the examples of amphibians there's not a lot of others there are a couple others here and there but not a lot ecosystem what kind of places do you find amphibians what are some of the flights Wetlands okay we're out that's what you find amphibians what other place arkadin where else would you find amphibians but Frozen salamanders and stuff reroute gas rates Rivers Warehouse what about Chase what about under what about under under law and stuff where's what about what I need yeah drains in your  sometimes now what about the amphibian life cycle somebody trying to describe the amphibian life cycle one thing that all these things having even the Toads that live on land they all have this in common so they started life where as a quiet they started life as aquatic organisms they live salt on the water Jordan and went through their metamorphosis they went from an aquatic organism and in some cases to an amphibious organism which means they can live play develop the ability to live on land completely such as salamanders and some of the toes so water changes lot of variety here now think about the role that that amphibians play in any ecosystem they occupy certain roles in the food chain food webs what are they what are the roads in phibian occupy the food chain where are secondary primary or secondary or primary registrant you think they occupy the primary well y'all are Lonesome than that. What about the secondary raise your hand if you think they occupy secondary why do you think they occupy primary yeah but what all right so what are you up to answer the questions so that your day play the role of secondary consumer okay and they say they do a great service for any ecosystem by keeping the insect population in check because they even tremendous numb princess house flies all that stuff now what other roles do they occupy okay baby daddy pray for other consumers which are which one other secondary consumers would also tertiary consumers okay so that they occupy predator and a Sprite right now when you read the when you read the case study what did they say what was happening Snapchats disease what else population was going down what else was going on what did what did they speculate about their skin does what okay City Center okay and West Valley okay then they didn't have hard shell so they were they weren't me. those toxins and so it affects amphibians usually very quick play in and almost first in the ecosystem so if you start seeing them be affected and disappearing that's the first indications you got a problem with chemical pollution or something of that nature in terms of of the amphibians themselves they're at their tremendous variety is 6700 + 50 I forgot to give you your forms to let me do that is strictly file diversity and talk about the components of biodiversity we're going to talk about a lot of things reason why any echoes need diversity and go from there he said that we start talking about the bird we're talking about what they called biological diversity living James diversity of living things it's the variety of our species which includes a genetic genetic ecosystem what we talked about can we talk well thermodynamics was was brought up when we talked about the energy but what is what is the process when talking about you 10% of the energy available at each level and the country right now that's affecting the whole world the real funny you're not sure what you're listening or reading or whatever you have millions of Chase but reality call percentage of people die okay why is this what oh okay human human population spread out all over the world none of us are exactly alike we all have we all have different immune system we all have different communities the different bank or bank we fought off better than others all right now but the point is relatively few of us are dying percentage watch okay if you get stuff that like mostly old people with diseases and and weakened immune system all right now is if everybody would like the older people the weakened immune system what would this thing do to the world because of people die getting the Middle Ages black white and that was one of these days like this back in those times you got a lot more that was very limited in the European city okay and that's what that's what we talked about your we get in The Labyrinth biodiversity remember back I think it was the first chapter maybe the second button we were talking about the scientific factors of sustainability what it is to be able to have a same ecosystem what's biodiversity one of the main source the other was a financial stability and then there was another one and I'm losing my but these are biodiversity is probably the main thing that keeps ecosystem functioning now work visa for that you're going to need to memorize and keep up with these four components four components of biodiversity species diversity in the park species present in any ecosystem and how many of them there are guide estimated in this country are just World rather identify 2 million sounds like a lot some people even a hundred million species that we have not discovered well the ocean rainforest rainforest discovered haven't deceased father underground yeah places that we haven't been able to get through or haven't discovered number o if I have them or not
