Dual Enrollment

 
  • Rockvale High School partners with Middle Tennessee State University to offer dual enrollment courses on our campus to eligible juniors and seniors. 
  • Eligible students must have a 3.0 grade point average or a 22 composite score on the ACT for admission AND qualifying ACT subtest scores for individual courses.
  • Sophomores interested in taking DE courses their junior year must register for an official ACT test at ACT.org.
  • Juniors will take the ACT on Rockvale's campus for free in the spring, but can register to take the ACT on a national testing date if they do not receive the scores necessary to qualify for dual enrollment.
  • *Students receiving free/reduced lunch may request an ACT fee waiver from Ms. Dooley in the counseling office.

  • U.S. History 2010 (Survey I): ENGLISH 18, READING 19
  • U.S. History 2020 (Survey II): ENGLISH 18, READING 19
  • Speech/Comm 2200: no sub score requirement; must have taken ACT
  • Spanish 1010: no sub score requirement; must have taken ACT; Spanish I Honors recommended
  • Spanish 1020: no sub score requirement; must have taken ACT + Spanish 1010 or placement test
  • College Algebra 1710: MATH 17 (Will qualify for Stats or Pre-Calc with a C or above in College Alg)
  • Applied Statistics 1530: MATH 15 (Recommended to take College Alg first)
  • Pre-Calculus 1730: MATH 19 (Recommended to take College Alg first)
  • English 1010 (Expository Writing): ENGLISH 18
  • English 1020 (Research & Argumentative Writing): ENGLISH 18 + pass English 1010 with C or above
  • Biology 1110/1111: ENGLISH 18, MATH 19, READING 19
