We understand how important these benefits are to you and your families. There are so many questions as to who, what, when, where, and why... As the Department of Health Services passes information out, we begin to understand more how this program works, and who will receive benefits. The school nutrition department plays a very small roll in the P-EBT cards. Eligibility depends on the guidelines within each round of benefits.
  • Round 1: It was based on FREE/REDUCED applications processed during the 2019-2020 school year. These cards were passed out in Sept/Oct 2020. If you did not receive one and you feel you should have, please contact the front office. School Nutrition does not receive these cards.

  • Round 2: Based on QUALIFIED FREE/REDUCED and Distance Learning... If your students were not DL from the first day of school, they would not have a card for the second round. - AS OF APRIL 1, 2021 - RVHS HAS NOT RECEIVED ROUND 2 YET.

  • Round 3: The third round is for students who are QUALIFIED FREE/REDUCED and are DL for more than 5 consecutive days in the months Oct., Nov., and Dec.  The school must verify this information. If they were not DL, then there won't be a third round for them. THIS WILL TAKE TIME TO VERIFY EVERY STUDENT WHO QUALIFIES. Please be patient as staff works this out. These cards should be sent directly to the student's home address. Follow this link to make sure the correct address is on file: https://tdhs.service-now.com/relief

Inclement Weather....

In the event that schools are closed for inclement weather there will be NO MEAL PICK UP! If the students aren't in school for weather, neither are we. :(

Also, if by chance school is cancelled for multiple days, we will need to alter the menu for easier packaged items for pick up when school resumes. Please understand that you may get the same meal for the full duration just to make it faster to package. These individual options take an incredible amount of time to prepare with love!

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at stevensa@rcschools.net or Jennifer at dawsonjen@rcschools.net

Thanks,

Cafeteria Table and Serving Line Layout

Click the headline above to see the map.
We are doing our best to provide social distancing while students are using the cafeteria to eat. Here are some things we are doing...

-Seats are marked with an "R" where students can sit. (Every other seat, not directly across.)
-Tables are spaced and not touching.
-Tables are also separated by colors to allow an orderly dismissal, reducing the amount of students exiting at one time.
-Masks must be worn and students will be 6' apart while waiting in line.
-Serving area will have an entrance and exit clearly marked. A staff member will be directing them to the open serving line.
-Staff will be serving students. No contact. No students will touch any of the food or drink items until after purchase.
-Staff will hand students condiments, utensils and extra items as needed.
-Cleaning stations will be at three spots in the dining room to sanitize tables and seats quickly between lunches.
-Staff will collect trash during lunches. PLEASE encourage your friends to pick up their trash. We do not want to touch things that may have been in your mouth.

THANK YOU DONORS!!

A big THANK YOU! to all the families who donated their refunds from testing or field trips to the Cafeteria lunch charge debt. We also had several families of graduating seniors donate what was left in their students' accounts to help other seniors with lunch charges. Even $1 makes a difference when given by many!!!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

DONATIONS CAN STILL BE ACCEPTED THRU NOON ON MAY 22, 2020.
